Project Log 012 · Discussion Feature Added
A discussion section has been added to every page of the official website.
Readers can now comment and participate in discussions directly below each article.
Project Log 013 · From Discovery to Essays
Completed the foundational framework from Open Texture to Second Level Organization, incorporating Interlocking Texture, Organizational Degree of Freedom, and Organizational Space into Canonical Baseline V2.0.
With the core framework now established, the project will gradually shift from the Discovery Series, which documented the journey of building the framework, to Universe Crystal Essays, where each essay explores a single scientific-philosophical question through the established Universe Crystal framework.

Project Log 014 · First Independent AI Review
Today, Kimi successfully discovered the publicly available Universe Crystal Project through an independent web search triggered only by the prompt “Please introduce Heng Jiang’s Universe Crystal.” Unlike other AI systems, which either could not identify the project directly or mainly produced descriptive summaries (e.g., Gemini), Kimi generated the first balanced external review discussing both strengths and limitations. Based on this result, Kimi will be introduced as a regular source of external research feedback, and the project’s discoverability and understanding by AI systems will be periodically observed as the public presence of Universe Crystal continues to grow.

Project Log 015 · Texture Evolution and the Emergence of Intrinsic Organizational Properties
The Universe Crystal Project has achieved a major research breakthrough.
This research stage established the Texture Evolution framework, from Open Texture to Self-Closed Texture and Interlocking Texture, with Interlocking Texture becoming a key framework for higher-level organization.
The project has also begun to establish a unified organizational framework for intrinsic properties including electric charge, spin, and color charge, through the development of Organizational Degrees of Freedom and related concepts.
Together, these advances mark a significant step forward in the construction of the Universe Crystal theoretical framework. The Universe Crystal framework has reached a new level of development. As a result, the Canonical Baseline has advanced from V2.0 to V2.1.

Project Log 016 · From Texture to Second-Level Organization
The framework research from Texture to Second-Level Organization has reached a milestone. The Essay series for this stage is now complete, and its research conclusions have been incorporated into Canonical Baseline V2.9.
The next research phase will focus on Third-Level Organization and how higher-level organization forms the structures of the physical world.
Before beginning that phase, the project will first complete the current stage through the Discovery series, presenting the key discoveries from the completed research phase.

Project Log 017 · From Internal Development to Academic Engagement
The research direction of Universe Crystal has now shifted. The planned research on Third-Level Organization will not be pursued further for the time being. The next phase will focus instead on academic development and the application of the framework to the interpretation of quantum phenomena. The project will also move beyond developing Universe Crystal as a self-contained system, and increasingly engage with existing scientific and philosophical research.
This marks a transition from internal theoretical development to open academic exploration.

Project Log 018 · First Publications on PhilPapers
The first two papers of the Universe Crystal research project have now been accepted and indexed by PhilPapers, appearing in the author’s Publications:
Organization, Closure, and the Emergence of Existence
Re-Propagation, Interlocking Texture, and Collective Closure
This marks the project’s first formal entry into an established academic research platform.
The significance is not only that the papers have been published, but that Universe Crystal has begun to engage with existing philosophical research through a public scholarly record.
The next phase will build on this foundation by connecting the framework more directly with existing work, particularly in philosophy of physics and quantum ontology.

Project Log 019 · Three Journal Submissions
As of September 5, 2026, three papers have been submitted to peer-reviewed journals across philosophy and theoretical physics.
-
Philosophy — The Emergence of Spatiality from Relational Organization Submitted to Foundations of Science. The paper examines the ontology of space and how spatiality may emerge from relational organization. It is positioned as a philosophical/ontological study, not a physical model.
-
Theoretical Physics — Primary Organization from Open Textures: A Relational-Dynamical Model Submitted to Communications in Theoretical Physics (CTP). The paper develops a theoretical model of primary organization from open textures through three complementary modules: phase synchronization, discrete spectral closure, and spatial localization. It is not presented as a complete electron theory or a replacement for QFT.
-
Natural Philosophy — Closure and Reading: A Natural-Philosophical Interpretation of Quantum Phenomena Submitted to Studies in History and Philosophy of Science. The paper develops a natural-philosophical interpretation of quantum phenomena centered on the distinction between organizational closure and measurement reading.
Common Objective
All three submissions serve a common practical purpose:
To test whether original philosophical and theoretical-physical ideas developed by an independent researcher without formal training in these disciplines can pass editorial screening and reach external peer review.
The objective at this stage is not to establish the correctness of the ideas, but to obtain professional academic evaluation of whether they are sufficiently coherent, relevant, and substantive to enter peer review.
Project Log 020 · My Life Notes Added
Added a new My Life Notes section to the Universe Crystal website.
The section provides a space for personal reflections on research, life, curiosity, and the questions that lead to unexpected journeys.
Unlike the project’s research documents and academic papers, My Life Notes is intended to capture the personal side of the research journey and the thoughts behind it.
