Preface

Humanity has developed remarkably successful scientific theories for understanding the universe.

From Newtonian mechanics to general relativity, from quantum mechanics to quantum field theory, and ultimately to the Standard Model of particle physics, modern physics has achieved an unprecedented level of precision in describing the laws that govern the natural world. These theories possess extraordinary predictive power and have been repeatedly confirmed through experiment.

Universe Crystal is not intended to reject or replace any of these achievements. On the contrary, this work is developed with full respect for the established experimental foundations of modern physics.

The question explored in this report is therefore not whether any existing physical law is correct. Instead, it addresses a more fundamental philosophical question:

How should the universe be understood as an integrated whole?

Modern physics has primarily focused on local systems and the evolution of local states. Universe Crystal adopts a different perspective. Rather than beginning with particles, fields, space, or time, it seeks to understand the universe through the concept of organization and to develop a unified philosophical framework for its overall organizational structure.

Within the Universe Crystal framework, the universe is first understood as a whole. Open Texture constitutes the Fundamental Organizational Texture of the Universe Crystal. Stable Closed Textures give rise to the first stable forms of existence, while increasingly complex organizations emerge through successive organizational hierarchies. Space, time, and the macroscopic world are interpreted not as fundamental entities, but as emergent consequences of organizational development.

Accordingly, Universe Crystal should not be regarded as a new mathematical theory, nor as an alternative physical theory. Rather, it is presented as a work of scientific philosophy that investigates the organizational nature of the universe from a holistic perspective.

For this reason, the present report is written in the style of a philosophical research monograph rather than a conventional physics textbook. Its purpose is to present the current formal exposition of the Universe Crystal framework and to invite readers to consider a different perspective on the organizational structure of the evolving universe as a whole.
